ALMA ANGEL BEAUTY TIP WITH CLARA FROM THE DERMBAR MD
So what’s the difference between BOTOX & Xeomin?
A few differences…
Xeomin is considered to be “pure” and unlike BOTOX & Dysport it does not contain any additives so it is less likely that a patient will develop a resistance to Xeomin.
Why is Xeomin important?
Because patients now have options like (Dysport & Xeomin) instead of just BOTOX and some patients have developed immunity to BOTOX & Dysport due to the additives.
Also unlike Dysport, Xeomin is injected with the exact same dosage as BOTOX unit for unit and this is important as some centers try and mislead unsuspecting patients with per unit prices. As an example, the average patient requires 40-55 (men require more) units to treat the three most common areas of the face with either BOTOX or Xeomin as they inject unit for unit the same. Dysport requires 2.5 times more units than either BOTOX or Xeomin. Not a bad thing just a different formulation. So when you see Dysport advertised with 50 units for $300 it sounds good but it’s only the equivalent of 20 units of BOTOX or Xeomin.
Most, call for Botox because they don't know what else to ask for. Know you have choices. Call 865-556-0543 today to schedule your consult today. The Derm Bar MD are happy to offer either Botox or Xeomin and are here to answer all your questions.
