I don’t know about you, but the winter is getting long. I’ve been craving a party, and what better way is there to enjoy the deep days of winter than feasting with friends? Winter is a time for warming, spicy foods. Tapas, which are small plates of brightly flavored food, are perfect for informal gatherings and quick tasty dinners for your family.
I’ll be preparing tapas In my Cook’s Workshops, coming up this month on the 16th (AlmaDiem) and 25th (Clinton PT). Melanie Alexander, wine sommelier and CEO, will be joining me at AlmaDiem to teach you about tasting Spanish wines. At Clinton PT, I’ll be whipping up a pitcher of white mojito sangria - the perfect complement to spicy tapas.
You may ask, how can a party like this be considered healthful? Well, I’ll be cooking up healthy and tasty versions of the tapas (and you’ll take home the recipes!) And, an important part of eating well is to enjoy the food and company you are with. Humans have gathered together for aeons to feast and enjoy their food together.
