Fashionable Friday with Donna Roland: Fall Fashion !
OK… so I guess it is that time of year again because all I keep hearing is “can’t wait for pumpkin spice this and pumpkin spice that". I’m sorry (please don’t send me hate mail) but I’m not a pumpkin fan. (but these glitter pumpkins are kind of stylish!) Now, don’t get me wrong, I do LOVE fall but I just don’t want summer to end yet!! I love the warm, sunny (and longer lasting) days! I love the water, grilling out, and the fun, outside get togethers with friends and family. And while, I do love fall, I just don’t want to see all the holiday decorations in the stores in July! All ranting aside, one of the best things about living where I do is that we get to experience each of the 4 beautiful seasons and none of them are too extreme so I truly feel very blessed!
Now, let’s get really “real”! The best thing about the changing of the seasons is the changing of the fashions! (Just kidding – well, sort of). I love the first of spring when all the new trends come out and I love the beginning of fall when all the new fall trends come out. Even if you aren’t into the “trends”, there is something for everyone!
If you have seen any TV, magazines, social media or been into the clothing stores lately, you have seen there are lots of beautiful choices for fall and winter this year! So, I thought I would share these with you over my next few posts and help you choose which ones will work best for you!
Let’s start with the colors. Here are the colors of fall this year (by Pantone) and I have put which Color Code can wear these colors on them. If you don’t know your Color Code, I have put a quick guide below but would strongly encourage you to contact me to schedule your own Personal Style Analysis so I can help you discover your Color Code (and a whole lot more)!
Warm – Red hair, any skin tone (usually freckles), any color eyes
Cool – Silver hair, any color skin tone, any color eyes
Light – Blonde or white hair, fair skin, light color eyes
Deep – Medium to dark brown hair, medium to dark skin tone, dark color eyes
Soft – Medium brown/blonde hair, light to medium skin tone, medium intensity eye color
Clear – Dark brown/black hair, very fair skin tone, bright color eyes
Discovering what colors look best on you makes the biggest difference in your appearance! Some colors can age you and wash you out while others will make you look vibrant and youthful!
Red is a BIG trend for this coming season and there are so many different shades. Everyone can wear it but you want to make sure you are wearing the shade and intensity that is best for you! Whether you wear it head to toe or just add a “pop” of it to your outfit, you will be right on trend this season!
Watch for my next post with lots more fun trends for fall and winter 2017!
